Brief Details

CHAPTER 9 - Distortion Wave

The sensitive scans of the new U.S.S. DOMINANCE, combined with the foresight of D’Zurra pick up the scent that the Reptilian camouflaged vessels are closer than they had anticipated. In the meantime, the crews on the surface of the planet, are working around the clock to cover the site with a camouflage field so realistic, it could fool any sensors.

CHAPTER 10 - In the Balance

With the shield generator sorted out on the surface of Quinzen, the reptilian ships appear out of their own camouflage shields, and proceed to threaten the operations on the planet, unless something of immense value is handed over to them.

CHAPTER 11 - Tumour

The headaches that Traisa is suffering become more intense. The diagnosis is nothing that her mother had expected. On the outside of the reptilian’s appearance, the tendrils of the tumour reach areas of Traisa’s brain that are hardly used, causing her to be at level par with D’Zurra – with capabilities of knowing what the reptile tyrants are planning. Her mother eventually breaks the news to Quaid that Traisa is his daughter.

CHAPTER 12 - Power Hungry

The Reptilian tyrants – the J’Trellian and B’Rellian empires grow all the more impatient, threaten to blow another crater on the surface of Quinzen, little knowing that the target intended is also the camouflaged site. With tact and caution, captain Valdez tries out his diplomatic first contact skills, and convinces the reptilians that the object of their desire will be constructed, and they will have the honour of testing the hyper-ring for themselves. The tyrants relent on their treat and agree to the suggestion put forward.

CHAPTER 13 – Treaty

The Vo’ath make an appearance and this surprises the two empires that had once set out to eliminate them from the solar system, from which they had originated. One of the trans-dimensional beings inhabits the mind of the tumour stricken Traisa, and another inhabits D’Zurra. The combined intelligence and characteristics of the two hosts, the code of the scrolls is interpreted, and a diagram is quickly drawn up of what the hyper-ring looks like. By the last act on this chapter, news arrives in the scene that their home solar system is threatened by another burst of solar radiation. The solar scientists offer to go and stabilise the Sun.

CHAPTER 14 – Stabilise

A Starfleet vessel that specialises in Solar related issues is given permission to be quickly deployed to the home solar system of the reptilian empires. A group of scientists huddle together and come up with a scheme to fire a torpedo with the ingredients in a warhead, capable of restoring a stable cycle in the core of the Sun, so that it does not spew out dangerous doses of radiation towards the reptile home-world.

CHAPTER 15 – Change of Heart

After hearing that there had been success in stabilising the core of their Sun, the J’Trellians begin to reconsider whatever they have heard about the Federation. The malicious rumours spread about this organisation are proved to be completely wrong. Since arriving in the Quinzen system, nobody had shown an inch of hostility towards them, even though the two reptilian empires have been known to be very vicious and merciless. The B’Rellians are going to need a lot more convincing. Even after the Federation has helped to prevent another solar disaster, they remain hardened.

CHAPTER 16 – Trial Run

Four weeks have passed since the arrival of the reptilian empire fleet, and the hyper-ring has been completed by a flotilla of vessels from various species in the Federation armada. The B’Rellians have been keen on getting their hands on this object since the beginning. They failed to get it because the pirates had given themselves up to the Federation and destroyed the fleet of pirate vessels.  But that has not stopped them in their hunt for the ancient artefacts and the secret that they kept. Their greed will cost them dearly. The end of the line is a singularity – black-hole.  In the meantime, the J’Trellians are kind enough to have thanked the people responsible for saving their home system and go back home to celebrate.

CHAPTER 17 - Converted

Thanks to the help of the Federation solar scientists, the Sun that brings life to the reptilian’s inhabited planets, is now stable and there will not be any threats of dangerous flares affecting them. There will be a new era of governance.  The malicious rumours have ceased to be taken seriously, thanks to the testimony of the commanding officer in the J’Trellian fleet. He went to witness the work done to stabilise his home-system’s Sun. The B’Rellian civilians were also convinced that the Federation was by no means whatever they have been hearing about.

CHAPTER 18 – Finishing Touches

A year after having started the project on Quinzen, the fleet succeed in the restoration of the city that once occupied the place of the crater. LANCELOT and some of the vessels in the fleet leave to lend assistance in another project. There is a smaller flotilla of ships tending to the finishing touches on the Quinzen Capital City. Most of it had been constructed with the guidance of diagrams and pictures taken before the meteorite struck the location...and the hyper-ring is destroyed so that it would never be abused or misused.

“Bloodline”

The crew of the LANCELOT are called to a mission that has a difficult issue to resolve.  Rumours have it that, according to a very ancient manuscript, a descendant of a long-dead king would reign over the entire system, and bring an era of peace and prosperity like nobody has ever dreamed possible.

Clerics that are opposed to this view stop at nothing to hunt down the Bloodline of the king to prevent the prophesy being fulfilled. Despite their guile and wicked tactics, the prophesy is not thwarted, and the promised Saviour is born. This will usher in a reign of a millennia in the solar system that surpasses the splendour of all previous kings on the most inhabited planet, out of the total 3 that have civilian colonies.

Would anyone come to the conclusion that someone amidst the crew of the Lancelot has the key to uncovering the plot to assassinate the parents of the Saviour before the baby comes into the scene?

According the legendary manuscripts, there does appear to be an indication...the mentioning in symbolic language of a star being born that is brighter than all the others. “It will light the heavens for a millennia with great glory and splendour. A jewel in the crown could never compare with how bright this new star would shine. It will appear despite attempts to quench its brightness by dark unseen forces.”

Appears like there are very startling parallels in the above story to the Nativity. When Jesus was a baby, the clerics or religious leaders and kings became very unsettled at the news of a new king in the scene. They even gave the order to track down and kill children of the same age they suspected the child to be at the time the news broke out. Despite their endeavours to kill the Saviour child, their plans were thwarted as Jesus had by then gone to Egypt for a little while, until the  persons responsible for hunting him down had died.

Perhaps, the parents of the saviour child in this story are also warned of impending danger to her child and are safely hidden in another one of the inhabited planets, until the mad clerics of their home world have either forgotten the whole matter or had died of natural causes. During this period on another world, the saviour child grows up strong and wise. The clerics in the new home have been waiting for a long time for the prophesy of the ancient scrolls to be fulfilled. Lo and behold, the saviour child they had eagerly been looking for is right there in front of them.

The Cleric Order in the child’s original home world, get a whiff of what has been going on in the neighbouring world, and make tracks to pursue the Saviour child and still endeavour at all cost to quench the light, and once again, their plans run up against a brick wall and end up being thwarted. The monks protecting the Saviour child battle it out against the malevolent strict sect, and save the child from being assassinated. One of the monks leaps ahead of the child and gets a phaser wound on his chest. The followers of the menacing sect stand stunned at what has happened. One by one, they drop their phaser weapons to the ground and beam back up to their awaiting vessel above the atmosphere. Since they had not accomplished their mission, the Sect’s shuttle initiated a self destruct sequence. Then, to everyone’s shock and amazement, the child saviour appears aboard the Sect’s vessel and aborts the self destruct. He offers them reconciliation and the chance to start fresh, without malice and vengeance.

Those who were impacted by the saviour child’s kindness and forgiving spirit, went back to their home world and told everyone what they had experienced. The leading clerics of the council fumed at what they had heard...though not everyone reacted that way. There were a band of council members that began to soften their hearts upon hearing about the events that transpired. Even some members that had been in the council from the first instance, had a change of heart towards the child that his council had been hell bent on trying to eliminate. Light overcomes the darkness. The love and grace demonstrated by the persecuted saviour child, was the catalyst for such an impacting turn around in the affairs of the entire system’s government structure.
